We were delighted to find two Pukekos nesting in a bush, (on the right of the table), they kept poking their heads over the leaves to see what was going on.The zoo staff were so helpful, opening the gate to let us  [...] ]]></description><content:encoded><![CDATA[<div  class="paragraph editable-text" style=" text-align: left; ">Recently, I was the celebrant at a wedding at the Auckland Zoo.<br /><span></span><br /><span></span>I loved the serenity and beauty of the surroundings and the ambiance it created. We were delighted to find two Pukekos nesting in a bush, (on the right of the table), they kept poking their heads over the leaves to see what was going on.<br /><span></span><br /><span></span>The zoo staff were so helpful, opening the gate to let us in, allowed the bridal car to drive up to the venue, and gave us a ride with all our gear in a golf type cart. <br /><span></span><br /><span></span>I was surprised to find 'Willow Island' nestled in such lovely surroundings. The summer months have been quite different, so maybe there is global warming after all. All the weddings have been well protected&nbsp; from rain, (seldom does on the day, thank goodness) and this has been great due to the choice of venues.
